HWC offers many types of Massage Therapy offered by our Professional, experienced Staff in our tranquil treatment rooms. Our Massage offerings include; Swedish, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Prenatal, Sports, Hot Stone, Foot Massage, Foot Reflexology, Integrative Massage (Massage + Energy Work), and even Canine Massage!
Enhance your Massage experience with one of our massage add-ons including; Hot Stone, Cupping, Mineral Far Infared Lamp, and a choice of several topical pain relieving balms/creams. Most of the different Massages that we offer begin with either Swedish, Therapeutic or Deep Tissue as a starting point. We often are asked, what is the real difference between those three options? We understand that terminology can be different at different Centers. For clarification purposes, we have defined our standards in our descriptions below. This will assure you receive exactly the type of massage you are looking for.

Our Therapies:
Swedish Massage
A modality that comes to mind when most people think of massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. If a client has booked a Swedish massage, knots will not be addressed as the assumption is that the client just wants to bliss out and relax.

Therapeutic Massage
We include some of the relaxation components of a Swedish, but also a deeper, more focused work where knots and tension are presenting in muscles. Pressure is mixed – some light, some medium and a little bit of deep where needed to address problem areas.

Therapeutic Hot Stone Massage
Heated smooth, flat stones are placed on key points on your body. The ultimate massage experience utilizing heated basalt Hawaiian stones with long rhythmic massage strokes. Allows for more muscle manipulation, without the heavy pressure. It is both warm and relaxing. We request 24 hours advance notice for Hot Stone treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage
A type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders. Some of the same strokes are used as classic Therapeutic Massage, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain. If a client receives over 30 minutes of focused deep pressure during a session, that is a Deep Tissue Massage.
