Licensed Massage Therapist
The Virginia School of Massage, Charlottesville Virginia 2009. National certification NCBTMB.. Certified in Canine Massage
In 2008 I made the commitment to get back to the health and fitness field. I retired from personal training in 2002 and did not want to go back to that field. I really wanted to work with people at a different level of wellness. Massage was something that had always interested me. As a former athlete and fitness professional, I knew and understood the benefits of massage. I felt this career would really be an area where I would have success in helping people to reach their wellness goals. I have studied a number of massage modalities including; Swedish, Therapeutic, Deep tissue, Sport, Trigger point, Structural Integration, Cranial-Sacral, Acupressure, Hot Stone and Stretching are just some of the areas I have experience in and have utilized in Treatments.
With my background in fitness, I understand that a combination of different massage techniques truly can benefit clients. I believe in having a “toolbox” and using what fits the client during their session. I feel I can accomplish a wonderful relaxing massage as well as work on a client’s need for structural balance. I believe each person is an individual, and there is no “cookie-cutter” way to assist someone in having a better quality of life.
My goal for all of my clients is to make them feel better and able to live a better quality of life.

Licensed Acupuncturist
Nationally Board Certified Diplomate of Acupuncture through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), Sarah is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Eastern Medicine in Massachusetts and Connecticut. She is an adjunct faculty member at the New England School of Acupuncture at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy Health Sciences.
Sarah’s passion for acupuncture grew from her own positive personal experience. After suffering for years from chronic health issues and exhausting all Western medicine options, she had turned to acupuncture as a last resort. Those healing treatments gave her life again, and encouraged her to pursue a career in the field so that she could in turn help others as she was helped. The educational opportunities presented to her while both a student and faculty member at school have provided Sarah with the tools necessary to successfully bridge the gap between the worlds of Eastern and Western medicine. Eastern medicine revolves around empowering an individual, helping them to tap into their own innate healing. This belief is reflected in Sarah’s mission to make Eastern Medicine comprehensive and available to everyone. Her primary focus is on creating a comfortable and effective treatment plan for each individual. These treatment options are tailored to the needs of the individual and can range from non-invasive techniques (without needles) to deep orthopedic acupuncture, and can include anything in between.
Sarah has an assistant available during sessions – HeBe, the hypoallergenic Havanese. His paws-itive attitude bursts from a small 10-pound body, and you can find his furry smile a tail wag away. However, if you prefer to have just Sarah, HeBe is happy to enjoy a few treats and a nap in his own room during your session.
